Impact Kenya

 

 We are reaching out to the ever growing desperate needs for food, clean water and to help those truly in need. We have many programs in place and our goals are achievable and tangible. We have joined together in love and unity to face these issues head on. We are made up of business leaders, teachers, health care providers, religious leaders, and all of the community joining forces. We are a grassroots, not-for-profit, Community Based Organization (CBO) in Homabay Kenya. We work to eradicate poverty and enact social change through education and sustainable development making a difference in this community, and surrounding areas.

Agriculture


 We are focused on making the maximum positive effort for our communities. Hunger is a huge problem here in Kenya. There is an official famine right now. We are striving to help those in need especially the children and elderly who are truly hungry. We are growing food and sharing it with them. We are coming together as a community and are working with all who are willing to get involved in our agriculture program so all may benefit from the food it produces. Getting land owners, business leaders, and everyday people involved as volunteers and by working together in unity we are making a dent in the crisis here. Members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us to effect change. We are striving to become self-sustaining in agriculture. Working with land owners and planting crops while using good farming techniques so we are able to provide food to our local communities. In the process, feed more people so that no one goes hungry again. We have hurdles to overcome but together we are determined to make real change. Please consider joining us in this effort.

Youth

Too many youth lack the mentors to enable them to fully realize all that God has put into their lives. The Goal is to strive for academic excellence, educate families effectively and successfully bring together community resources to address youth empowerment. We are dedicated to serving and mentoring the youth. We want to be a platform where every young person can achieve personal and community goals that lead to a healthy life. Mentoring is a fundamental tool in helping children and youth find their way in life. Unfortunately, many youth lack natural mentors who can guide them through the often difficult task of growing up. Mentoring that is safe, effective, and sustainable takes a dedicated team of people who can promote and encourage our youth.
 We want to put mentoring back into the community. Older generations must pass on their values, skills and faith to the young. The hope in mentoring is that our youth will take what we share and bring it to new heights. Youth mentoring is a natural part of a healthy family and community life.



Special Needs

We have many special needs children and adults who want nothing more than just basic healthcare. Many are without the bare necessities and equipment for themselves. The HIV and AIDS crisis has damaged the social fabric of many communities here. Many of the physically and mentally challenged do without even basic equipment like wheelchairs. We welcome your financial donations but welcome your prayers most of all. We encourage letters and emails. We also welcome missionaries with open arms. Our faith in Jesus motivates us to serve all children regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or gender. All donations whether clothing, shoes, any material gift or financial gift to pay pal, goes directly to the children in need. Our aim is to enable all, to build a better future. Our goal is to match one child or adult with special needs to a sponsor person. Your love, letters, emails and donations result in real lasting change. Not only for the child of special needs but for hope for the entire community.

Empower Impact Community Center  (Project)

 Community centers serve as the vibrant heart of our villages, and rural areas pulsating with the diverse rhythms of local life. They are more than just buildings; they are dynamic spaces where people of all ages and backgrounds converge to share experiences, learn new skills, and forge lasting bonds. These centers are often the first place where newcomers seek connection, where seniors find companionship, and where youth can safely explore their potential. They embody the spirit of Community engagement, acting as catalysts for social cohesion, and local development.
From the perspective of a parent, a community center might be seen as a safe haven for their children after school, where they can engage in enriching activities under the guidance of caring mentors. For the working professional, it could be a place to learn computer classes. Meanwhile, a senior citizen may view it as a place, where they can participate in health and wellness programs or simply enjoy a game of chess with peers.
Here are some in-depth insights into the role we are looking to accomplish.
*Educational Programs: we will offer a range of educational programs, from literacy classes to computer training, to sewing classes
*Civic Engagement: this center will also provide a platform for civic engagement, such as town hall meetings or volunteer opportunities.
*Support Services: offering support services like counseling and job assistance, community centers help individuals facing challenges.
*Recreational Activities: from art classes to sports leagues, recreational activities foster a sense of fun and community. Our Youth program fits perfectly into the activities program for the children and young adults.
*Environmental Initiatives: We also would  focus on sustainability, teaching residents about agriculture, and would be able to teach hands on with our agricultural program.
*We will also have a food pantry for the community from our agricultural program. 


In essence, community centers are the lifeblood of our villages, and rural areas here, providing a multitude of services that are desperately needed here. They are places where memories are made, where support is found, and where the heartbeat of village/rural life is most thriving.

*UPDATE!!  Through the kind donation of a donor, we will have enough to finish the construction of the community center! We should have all construction finished by the end of this year. We are still working on all equipment, and finishing all the inside, all donations and volunteers are a blessing! We are grateful ❤️

                           Poultry

Our Poultry project is going well, we are raising poultry for eggs to help with our feeding project. We hope to build a bigger coup and get more poultry with donations. Eggs are one of the most affordable and powerful sources of nutrition available and our growing flock helps us put food on the table for children and families in need every single day. What started small has become a vital part of how we feed our community. With your support, we hope to expand our coup, grow our flock and produce enough eggs to sustain our feeding program long-term. We also use this project to teach our youth practical farming skills, building responsibility and self-sufficiency along side faith and education. Every donation, big or small helps keep our chickens fed, our community nourished, and our vision alive. Grow with us!


(*UPDATE)  With your kind pledges, and donations to this community program, next month (June 2026) we will be expanding our chicken coup and amount of chickens! We will be at 50! While selling a portion of eggs and manure for feed and supplies, our community will benefit significantly as we grow this program.



Community Youth Day

We are planning a community youth day. Everyone is invited! all youth and their families! Through generous donors we are planning to have a football tournament. We are signing up enough youth for many teams, and will have a tournament with 1st, and 2nd place trophies. There will be food and refreshments for everyone! Feeding Program

We measure our success by the number of lives that are touched by our efforts. We are blessed by each meal we can help give. With an ambitious goal to leave no child hungry, we seek to expand our base of support through our feeding programs and dedicated sponsors and committed volunteers to strengthen our ability to help the children, and those in need. Our supporters come from all walks of life and understand that caring means giving of themselves. We are striving to become self-sustaining with agriculture but are not there yet. Any donations of any amount go directly to helping feed the children.
